Moroccan Soccer Star Ilias Chair Gets Prison Sentence for Violent Attack on Truck Driver

Moroccan footballer Ilias Chair has been sentenced to two years in prison, one of which is firm, in Belgium for fracturing the skull of a truck driver.
The incident occurred in 2020 during a trip to France. Chair, his brother and some friends had an altercation with the truck driver Niels T. after a dispute with a woman. Chair is said to have hit Niels T. with a stone, seriously injuring him. The victim suffered a skull fracture and was hospitalized in critical condition.
