Moroccan Mother Arrested at French Border with 111 Kilos of Cannabis

Returning from Morocco, Hanane A., 39, and her three children were arrested in France last September after customs officers found 111.5 kilos of cannabis resin in their car. Her family does not rule out the possibility of a trap.
The French customs officers intercepted this Moroccan Resident Abroad (MRE) who was traveling with her three children in a Renault Twingo registered in Belgium, with 111.5 kilos of cannabis resin on board, reports Dernière heure. According to the same source, the drugs were hidden in a false bottom of the vehicle.
The mother was arrested, while her three children were entrusted to the social services of Le Perthus pending their father, who is separated from their mother, to go and pick them up.
For Hanane’s family, it can only be a trap set by a mechanic. "My sister is naive and if I denounce the situation, it is so that it does not happen to other people," said her brother, before informing that the investigation conducted in Morocco was not conclusive.
For her part, her sister says she no longer remembers the name of the garage where she had her car repaired during her last visit to Morocco.
