Moroccan Migrant Rescued from Hypothermia in Ceuta Waters

The maritime service agents of Ceuta rescued at sea a 25-year-old Moroccan migrant who crossed the strait with a float from Morocco. He showed signs of hypothermia.
The rescue services found the young man on Saturday, less than a kilometer from the Benítez beach, after being alerted to the presence of a person in the waters of the north bay of Ceuta, near an anchored cargo ship. He was suffering from hypothermia and was transported by jet ski to the port of Ceuta where he was taken care of and received treatment, according to EFE.
The Feriante Operation, launched in Ceuta on Saturday, aims to prevent migrants from crossing the strait. Nearly a hundred people are participating in the operation initiated by the government delegation at the end of the Ceuta Fair festival.
