Moroccan Man Evades Deportation by Refusing Mandatory COVID Test at French Airport

While he should be expelled from French territory, a Moroccan finds the trick of delaying the deadline by refusing to undergo a Covid-19 PCR detection test.
The scene took place on Saturday at Biarritz airport. The Moroccan national had been sentenced to one year in prison and five years of a ban on entering French territory (ITF) for acts of violence with a weapon. But during the execution of this ITF, he evaded the PCR test, forcing the authorities to place him in police custody, reports Sud Ouest.
This is the second time this Moroccan has refused to take the PCR test, which is nevertheless necessary to board a flight to Morocco. He is attracting other legal troubles for having prevented the execution of a court decision. Meanwhile, a pre-trial detention order should be issued by the liberty and custody judge.
In the meantime, Morocco’s decision to end PCR tests on entry to the territory could speed up his expulsion.
