Moroccan Man Arrested in Nice for Brutal Daylight Stabbing Attack, Victim Critical

In an irregular situation in France, a 39-year-old Moroccan was taken into custody for stabbing his victim thirty times in broad daylight in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) on December 8. The victim is between life and death.
A fight broke out between the two individuals on the Avenue du XVᵉ-Corps in Nice, near the exhibition center last Wednesday, reports Actu.fr. The Moroccan stabbed his victim thirty times. Alerted, the police arrived quickly on the scene. On their arrival, the victim was already lying on the ground. "He had multiple wounds to the abdomen, head and neck," describes a source close to the investigation. He was taken to the hospital after being taken care of by the emergency services.
"What we know about the victim is that the latter is between life and death [...] This shows the violence with which these two homeless people fought," explained Bruno Bartocetti, national secretary of the SGP Police FO union, delegate to the South zone, to CNEWS.
Shortly afterwards, the law enforcement officers managed to arrest the aggressor. Known to the police, this 39-year-old Moroccan in an irregular situation was taken into custody. The many surveillance cameras in the city have enabled the opening of an investigation that will determine the motives for this violent attack.
"Thank you to the National Police who arrested the perpetrator. The municipal police of Nice have images of the brawl. In an irregular situation, this individual has no place in France. Let him be tried and deported as soon as possible," commented Christian Estrosi on Twitter.
