Moroccan Highway Authority Boosts Support for Domestic Construction Firms

In this time of crisis, ADM has decided to support the companies in its ecosystem by implementing several measures. It has opted for the systematic involvement of the preference in favor of the national company, except in the case of contrary provisions imposed by international donors for the projects they finance. The objective, according to ADM, is to make a remarkable contribution to these structures in this exceptional situation.

Thus, the contracts awarded by ADM during the period from March to August 2020 have all been entrusted to national companies. ADM has continued to execute the contracts during the period from March to August, some of which are new. The company has also granted support measures to companies that are experiencing difficulties in executing their contracts by granting them additional deadlines or continuously adapting the construction sites according to the constraints encountered, the availability of supplies or labor. As well as the establishment of strengthened supervision of companies.

It should be noted that the operator has proceeded with the relaxation and dematerialization of supplier payment procedures and associated deadlines. ADM has made payments of more than 300 million dirhams to companies for motorway construction and maintenance contracts, with an average payment period of 30 days during the period from March to August 2020.
