Moroccan Fugitive Sought in France for High-Speed Drug Trafficking Chase

A Moroccan is wanted by the French justice system for having transported a large quantity of cannabis resin and pure cocaine. He had fled from Villebrumier to Morocco after a chase with the gendarmes of the Departmental Squadron of Road Safety (EDSR) of Tarn-et-Garonne.
The events took place on the night of April 6 to 7 in Saint-Nauphary. While driving an Audi A3, a Moroccan national sees around 10:25 pm four gendarmes from the Departmental Squadron of Road Safety (EDSR) of Tarn-et-Garonne at the intersection of Albi and École streets, reports La Dépêche du Midi. He pretends to slow down before starting up again at full speed. One of the soldiers manages to throw the mobile spike strip under the wheels of the sedan. The front tires are damaged. The reckless driver, alone on board, does not stop. A chase with the gendarmes begins. The "go fast" makes several rolls before stopping in a field in Villebrumier. The motorist flees on foot into the forest.
The motorized patrol (PMO) soldiers from Bressols arrive on the scene and discover cannabis resin, packaged in "Moroccan suitcases". The TIC (criminal identification technicians) experts from Montauban come to reinforce the EDSR 82 gendarmes. They carry out the observations and samples on the vehicle. According to them, the Moroccan national was transporting 15 kg of cannabis resin (worth 53,000 € at the wholesale price) and 200 g of pure cocaine at 82%, i.e. a market value of 14,000 euros hidden in a plastic box. 800 g of chemicals for cutting "coke" were also seized. The driver is on the run in Morocco and is the subject of a search warrant.
