Moroccan Ferry Launch Strands Passengers in France Amid Communication Chaos

A bad start for the Moroccan shipping company, Intershipping. For several days, the first passengers of its first ferry to Morocco have been stranded in Sète.
Inaccessible website, deactivation of the telephone line, difficulty in obtaining information and tickets, accumulated delays... More than thirty families found themselves blocked at the quay for several days, reports France info. "We didn’t ask for much, we just want communication! Is it so difficult? By the time the site starts working, the holidays will be over," fumes an Internet user in anger.
Some Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) were lucky enough to board Victoria I, one of the two ferries chartered by the Moroccan company Intershipping, from the Estonian ferry company Tallin Grupp, bound for Morocco on the morning of Saturday, July 10, 2021. The other stranded passengers in Sète were told they would only be able to board after the return of this first ship.
At the request of the prefect of Hérault, the Red Cross decided to take care of the MREs who were unable to travel. Some are starting to get impatient, as the website of the Moroccan company is still inaccessible. Faced with the difficulty of obtaining tickets, tensions are mounting at the port of Sète. The police had to intervene. Only passengers with a ticket purchased online can now have access to the port.
