Moroccan-Dutch Officer Ben Nassir Bouayad Appointed Police Chief of Flevoland District

Since November 1st, Ben Nassir Bouayad, a Moroccan from Amsterdam, is officially the new police chief of the Flevoland district.
Of Moroccan origin, Ben Nassir Bouayad, 50, grew up in Amsterdam. He has lived in the province of Flevoland for more than 20 years and has a long career in the city’s police force. From a police officer in the Amsterdam-Amstelland unit in 1993 after his integration, he then climbed the ranks as a team leader, neighborhood officer, detective and team leader South-East and West Amsterdam, and recently, sector manager of the Infrastructure department of the Amsterdam unit.
Ben Nassir Bouayad holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Dutch School of Public Administration. His research focused on the subversion approach in Antwerp. "Ben Nassir’s arrival will help strengthen the expertise and skills of our unit. Like the rest of the unit’s management, I am happy to welcome him among us," said Martin Sitalsing, the police chief of the Midden-Nederland region.
