Moroccan Cyclists Compete in Belgium’s Road World Championships Despite COVID Challenges

Since September 18, the national cycling team has been taking part in the Road World Championships being held in Belgium. The national team arrived in Brussels on Monday for a competition that ends on September 26.
Moroccan cyclists have qualified for the World Championships despite the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus, according to the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation (FRMC) in a press release.
Morocco is represented in Brussels by Achraf Doghmi from Kawkab Marrakech, Mohammed Najib Senbouli, Youssef Lemzouak and Ilyas Sakini from the Abtal Safi Cycling Association and Ilyas Hasnan from the Beau Séjour Association. They are all accompanied by coaches Ahmed Rhili and Mouhssine Lahssaini.
The Moroccan representatives were pre-selected after trial races supervised by a special commission composed of technical staff and national referees, it is noted.
