Missing Hiker Vanishes in Morocco's Blue City: Scottish Police Launch International Search

Departed from Edinburgh for Morocco via Spain on July 25th last, a Pole has not given any sign of life. Desperate, his family is launching a call for witnesses to obtain any information that could help find him.

Adam Jordanowski’s family is worried. This 54-year-old Pole traveled from Edinburgh to Malaga, Spain, on Friday, July 25th, then to Tanger Med before arriving in Chefchaouen. While he was supposed to return to Scotland on Sunday, July 31st, with a stopover in Barcelona, he has not given any sign of life. His family has no news of him. According to UK border services, he had even checked in for a Barcelona-Edinburgh flight, but he probably never left Morocco. His relatives think he could be spotted on mountain trails and in cafes in Chefchaouen, a city nestled in the Rif mountains in northwestern Morocco.

"On Sunday, August 3rd, we received a report regarding the disappearance of a 52-year-old man in the Edinburgh region. He did not return from a foreign vacation and we are in contact with the relevant authorities and agencies to help find him. Investigations are ongoing," said a spokesperson for the Scottish police. They are inviting anyone with information on Adam’s whereabouts to contact them on 101. In parallel, his family has launched searches to find him.
