Aya Talhi, 12, and Aya El Ouakili, 13, were found in less than 24 hours after their disappearance. And this, thanks to a passer-by.
It was following the call of a passer-by who spotted the two girls by chance that the police managed to find them, reports Het Laaste Nieuws. No problem reported. They are now at home.
On Monday, Aya Talhi and Aya El Ouakili had gone to eat together in the vicinity of the Antwerp Meir. After leaving home, they had taken the tram to downtown Antwerp at 2 p.m. They were last seen around the Plantin metro station. The two girls were supposed to return home between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. However, they had no longer given any sign of life.
