MEDEF Urges France to Ease Visa Restrictions for Moroccan Business Leaders

Faced with numerous visa refusals for France, the Movement of French Enterprises (MEDEF) advocates for the fluidity and facilitation of the precious visa for Moroccan businessmen.
"Of course, it is essential and urgent to streamline and facilitate visas for our Moroccan business counterparts. There is no trade without the movement of people," pleaded Fabrice Le Saché, spokesperson, Vice-President of MEDEF, and CEO of Aera Group in a post on Twitter. He assured that the dialogue between the private sectors of the two countries "is permanent." "We must continue to build common projects," the official wished.
France had decided in late September 2021 to reduce by 50% the granting of visas for Moroccans on the grounds that Morocco refuses to issue consular laissez-passer necessary for the return of its nationals expelled from France. Since then, many Moroccan executives of French companies established in the kingdom, Moroccan parents of French citizens, as well as Moroccan businessmen wishing to travel to France for medical or other reasons have been denied French visas without any justification.
