Massive Border Delays as Vehicles Queue for Hours to Enter Morocco from Ceuta

More than a hundred vehicles were this Sunday at the Tarajal border in Ceuta to enter Morocco. The monster traffic jam caused drivers to spend at least two hours at the border before accessing the kingdom.
The drivers who left Ceuta for Morocco this Sunday reported the long line of vehicles and the relatively long waiting time to cross before entering Morocco. A two-hour wait that was difficult to bear due to the high temperatures, according to El Faro de Ceuta.

Since the reopening of the border on May 17, large crowds have been noted on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). In anticipation of the Marhaba Operation which will start on June 15 next, after two years of cancellation, the number of travelers will increase significantly at the border.
The Delegation of the Government in Ceuta had recently announced that all vehicles without exception will have to go through the Loma de Colmenar registration area, open 24 hours a day since May 26, in order to streamline the crossing at the border.
