Massive Border Delays in Ceuta as Spanish Far-Right Criticizes Morocco Transit Operation

The Vox party denounces the lack of preparation for this year’s Marhaba Operation, which is causing a massive traffic jam at the Tarajal border and creating a lot of inconvenience for the residents of Ceuta.
The far-right formation would have preferred that Ceuta did not participate in this year’s Marhaba Operation, as it generates "no benefit" to the city. Vox blames the local and national authorities for "continuing to yield" to the pressure of Morocco, which, according to him, only seeks to "harm an already dying city".
The openly anti-Moroccan party had warned that neither the autonomous city nor the border were prepared for this vehicle traffic. It denounces the "incompetence" of the authorities in organizing this Operation, deploring the monstrous traffic jams recorded in the waiting area since last week. The president of Vox de Ceuta, Juan Sergio Redondo, warns the authorities against using the resources of the autonomous city to deal with this "unbearable" situation for the city’s residents, which he attributes to Morocco.
"We now see that the Marhaba Operation, supposed to revive the city’s economy, is just a sham," says Redondo, adding that the whole situation "benefits Morocco" and the residents are the ones who will pay the price.
