Marseille's Amine Harit Suffers Setback in Comeback from Knee Injury

While he was returning to the field since his serious knee injury last November against AS Monaco, Amine Harit, starting for the first time in Ligue 1, was injured again on Saturday against Stade Brestois.

Amine Harit did not play a single game during the 2022-2023 season due to his ruptured cruciate ligaments, which had also prevented him from taking part in the World Cup in Qatar with Morocco. The Moroccan player has gradually reintegrated the team and was a starter against Brest as part of the third round. But the midfielder had to come out in the 48th minute of play, after an apparently innocuous duel, recalls Top mercato.

Marcelino and the technical staff of Olympique de Marseille (OM) are concerned about the physical condition of the Atlas Lion. "He has a discomfort in the right thigh, so it’s not the leg that was operated on. We think it’s a blow, there has been inflammation. There is pain at that level, but we will wait for the medical tests to know more," said the coach at the press conference.

Like his compatriot Azzedine Ounahi, Amine Harit will play in the left attacking midfield position in Marcelino’s 4-4-2. The player will animate the midfield with Joaquin Correa, who has just arrived from Inter Milan. His unconvincing performances against the Brestois suggest that he will still need time to regain his great form.
