Marrakech Cooperatives Begin Mask Production to Combat COVID-19 Spread

Initiatives to curb the spread of the coronavirus are multiplying in Morocco. Three cooperatives based in Marrakech have just obtained their certificates of compliance for the production of protective masks.
These are the cooperatives "Tamarates" and "Attaouss" operating in the Menara area and "Jawhara", active in M’hamid. This is an initiative that is part of "the sustained efforts of the Wilaya of the Marrakech-Safi region to mobilize resources and means to support the strategy to fight the covid-19 pandemic," reports lematin.ma.
According to the same source, these three cooperatives have been supported by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH). They have a total capacity of 8,000 units per day, which could even "be revised upwards".
