Marrakech Airport Receives Health Accreditation Amid COVID-19 Safety Push

The Marrakech-Ménara international airport has recently received its "Airport Health Accreditation" (AHA) health certification awarded by the Airports Council International (ACI). In addition, 14 other airports in the kingdom have also received their health accreditation, thus confirming the safety of Morocco’s airports.

Following an analysis of the measures deployed by the airports to fight against Covid-19, the Airports Council International (ACI) granted this accreditation to the airports to support and reassure passengers about the effectiveness of the health measures adopted by the National Airports Office (ONDA) in its airports.

The "Airport Health Accreditation" health certification represents a validation program aimed at analyzing the consistency between the health measures implemented by the airports and the international recommendations given by the working group of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on the restart of aviation.

The audit is based, among other things, on verifying compliance with physical distancing, protecting personnel, cleaning, disinfecting the entire circuit: access to terminals, boarding the plane, baggage delivery... It should be noted that in addition to the Marrakech-Ménara airport, others have also received this accreditation. These include the airports of Casablanca-Mohammed V, Agadir-Al Massira, Rabat-Salé, Oujda-Angads, Fès-Saïs, Tanger-Ibn Batouta, Ouarzazate, Nador-El Aroui, Essaouira-Mogador, Al Hoceima-Chérif El Idrissi, Errachidia-Moulay Ali Chérif, Tétouan-Saniat R’mel, Dakhla and Laâyoune-Hassan 1st.
