Maritime Route Reopens: Tourists Celebrate Ferry Service from France to Morocco

The resumption of passenger and vehicle maritime traffic between Sète and Morocco resumed on April 18, 2022. An event that sows joy in the hearts of tourists, passengers and associations who have been waiting for this moment for more than two years.
"With Covid, we’ve been waiting for this trip for 3 years. We’re too happy," explains a passenger who had just boarded the port of Sète on Saturday, heading for Tangier. "It’s been 2 years since I’ve been hoping to go to Morocco, to rediscover this country. So now, we’re going to roam around," confirms a woman. Tourists, Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) are eager to reach Morocco during the spring holidays.
"It’s been months that we’ve been waiting for this. Being able to bring back gifts, clothes to the country, it makes everyone happy. By plane, it’s not possible." Two associations, "étoile solidaire" and "partages et voyages" celebrate the resumption of passenger and vehicle maritime traffic between Sète and Morocco through the distribution of meal baskets to passengers. "There are dates, an egg, an oriental cake, fruits and rice," explains a volunteer.
