Macron Pledges Anti-Communitarianism Measures, Opposes Ban on Community Election Lists

In a speech to the Congress of Mayors of France on Monday, November 19, Emmanuel Macron promised new measures against communitarianism "in the coming weeks." However, he spoke out against the ban on community lists in the municipal elections in March.
"New concrete actions in the coming weeks." This is what the French president promises, without however banning community lists in the municipal elections next March.
"It is not a matter of proclaiming the ban to solve the problem," says Macron, who at the same time invites his fellow citizens to be cautious. "We have clear rules, should we shake them up here because the spirits are getting heated? I call on us collectively to be cautious," declares the French president.
In his speech to the Congress of Mayors of France, Emmanuel Macron, visibly concerned by the controversy over the wearing of the veil and Islamophobia that is becoming worrying in France, has probably wanted to calm the spirits a few months before the municipal elections.
