Macron Clashes with Israeli Police at French Territory in Jerusalem

The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, attacked the Israeli police on Wednesday during his trip to Jerusalem.
At the origin of this situation, a reproach from Emmanuel Macron to the Israeli police, who were trying to enter the national domain of Sainte-Anne, one of the four French territories of Jerusalem, reports Le Parisien, whose correspondent on the spot published images and a video of the scene.
Annoyed, the French president ordered the police: "everyone knows the rules, I don’t like what you did in front of me, get out!" "No one has to provoke anyone, okay? Let’s stay calm," fumed Emmanuel Macron angrily.
Earlier in the morning, there was a risk of a brawl between the French and Israeli law enforcement services. The latter wanted to enter this French enclave. The French clearly made it clear to the Israelis that this is a national domain, the same source specifies.
On October 22, 1996, a similar scene had occurred during Jacques Chirac’s visit. "Do you want me to take my plane back and go back to France, is that it?" the former President of the Republic had addressed the Israeli police.
