Macron’s Ex-Bodyguard Challenges Brazilian MMA Champ to Fight After Presidential Insult

Verbally attacked by Renzo Gracie, a Brazilian MMA champion, Emmanuel Macron received the support of his former bodyguard, Alexandre Benalla, who said he was ready to challenge him in the ring.
Emmanuel Macron’s former bodyguard took the defense of the French President when he was attacked by a close associate of Bolsorano, Renzo Gracie, a Brazilian MMA champion, who is also the Ambassador of International Tourism.
For the Franco-Moroccan, Gracie’s reaction is the opposite of that of a great sportsman. He therefore challenged him in the ring: "Renzo Gracie seems to have a big mouth. If you want, I propose an octagon. Your speech is not worthy of a former great sportsman," Benalla tweeted.
On August 15, 2019, Renzo, the day after Macron’s controversial reaction following Bolsorano’s joke, had called him a "Micron" and promised to twist his "chicken neck".
Beyond these initial reactions, the two associates continued their exchanges on social media. For Gracie, who was talking about Bolsorano’s victory over the fires, Macron would be an idiot: "It seems your brain is identical to that of a chicken. We wonder what you’re good for. For your information, the Amazon is a problem that affects all of humanity."
His challenger was quick to react, insisting on the fight: "Being in a cage is the best place for you. Instead of talking nonsense, answer my invitation. Are you up for an octagon in Paris?" asked the former Elysée mission officer.
