Lyon Mosque Calls Muslims to Pray at Home During COVID-19 Lockdown

In this context marked by confinement, the Grand Mosque of Lyon closed to the public until further notice, has called on Muslims to pray at home during the traditional adhan, on Wednesday, March 25.
The Grand Mosque of Lyon launched, on Wednesday, March 25, the traditional adhan "to support these men and women of the public services and hospitals who, since the beginning despite the seriousness of the health situation, are fighting with courage and selflessness to cope with this epidemic that affects all the French".
"It is to show them our brotherhood that tonight, we will pray for them and for all our compatriots, regardless of their religion or origin," the mosque explained on its social networks. It also broadcast a video of the call to prayer.
Ending the traditional adhan, the muezzin called on Muslims to pray at home.
