FC Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal scored the first hat-trick of his career in the 4-1 victory over Villarreal. At 18, the Spanish international is breaking several early-age records while observing the Ramadan fast.
At 18 years and 230 days, Lamine Yamal became Saturday the youngest player to score a hat-trick in La Liga in the 21st century. His exceptional performance in the victory over Villarreal also allowed the young winger to reach the milestone of 25 goals before turning 19, a first among Europe’s five major leagues since the turn of the century.

Asked about the match, which was played in the middle of the afternoon, the player discussed his physical condition during the holy month, saying with a smile: « I’m hungry, but I’m fine ».
