Jamel Debbouze lashes out at a BFM TV journalist (video)

Jamel Debbouze did not appreciate the intervention of Alain Marschall who seemed to insinuate that Morocco does not need international aid and that it "manages to get by" and "demonstrate that it has all the capacities to help its own people". The Franco-Moroccan comedian did not fail to react live.
Three days after the deadly earthquake that hit Morocco, personalities like Jamel Debbouze continue to mobilize to come to the aid of the kingdom. The Franco-Moroccan comedian, godfather of the Moroccan association L’Heure joyeuse, went to Marrakech to be at the bedside of the victims. "The state, the government is doing meticulous and very strategic work first to find victims who would remain buried," Jamel Debbouze said during the "BFM Story" program.
Journalist Alain Marschall then pointed out on the set that it is "also a way for Morocco to demonstrate that it has all the capacities to help its own people, with international aid, but simply as support. Morocco manages to get by." An intervention that provoked a reaction from the Moroccan comedian. "I’m not up to date on everything, but Morocco isn’t trying to prove anything, Morocco is doing what it’s forced to do, which is save lives and I trust this country," the comedian said.
And he added: "We saw how Morocco reacted, how it managed the Covid crisis. It was one of the first countries to distribute masks, to vaccinate its entire population. Yes, Morocco doesn’t have many lessons to learn in this area but all aid is welcome. I’ve heard about all these controversies, and I find it a bit out of place."
"What is out of place?" the journalist asked again. "What you’re trying to do, for example," Jamel Debbouze retorted, also recalling that Morocco has already accepted the aid of four countries, namely Spain, the United Kingdom, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The kingdom has not accepted the aid of France which, according to President Macron, is willing to "intervene" when the Moroccan authorities "deem it useful".
