Jailed Rif Protest Leader Granted Emotional Hospital Visit to Cancer-Stricken Father

The prisoner Nasser Zefzafi obtained this week an authorization to visit his father, Ahmed Zefzafi. The meeting took place at the Mohammed VI Hospital in the city of Al Hoceima, where his father is being treated for cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.
Transferred from the Tangier prison, where he has been incarcerated for nearly eight years, Nasser Zefzafi made this visit surrounded by numerous police officers and prison guards. The security forces accompanied him throughout his presence in the room. This is the second humanitarian permit granted to him under similar circumstances.
This visit was filmed and a video circulated on social media. In these images, Nasser Zefzafi appears visibly moved during the interview with his father, which coincided with his fourth treatment session.
