How French Montana Ended Up Seducing a Princess Sheikha Mahra
The Moroccan-born rapper French Montana opened up about the origins of his relationship with the Princess of Dubai, Sheikha Mahra, during a recent episode of the Joe and Jada podcast. The 41-year-old artist explained that he had noticed the young woman following a viral social media post, before taking steps to get in touch with her through a mutual acquaintance.
The musician’s interest in the 31-year-old princess was born in July 2024, when he was in Dubai. He had then seen a message on Instagram in which Sheikha Mahra publicly announced the end of her marriage to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, citing his infidelity. In this text, she used the formula of the triple talaq, a traditional practice of signifying divorce. French Montana said he was impressed by the courage required for such a public announcement, which prompted him to ask a mutual friend to express his interest.
The first signs of a rapprochement appeared in October 2024, when the princess shared images showing the rapper visiting Dubai by her side. The couple finally announced their engagement through a press release on August 27, 2025. The marriage proposal had been made a few months earlier, in June, during Paris Fashion Week. To mark this engagement, the artist offered a custom-made ring adorned with a 11.53-carat diamond, valued at over one million dollars.
Currently, the preparations for the ceremony are underway and involve the two families who, according to the couple’s representatives, fully support this union. Although the dates and logistical arrangements are still in the finalization phase, the marriage project is progressing. French Montana and Sheikha Mahra are both parents of children from their respective previous relationships.
