Heat Wave from Morocco to Scorch France with Temperatures up to 40°C

Scorching air from Morocco will cause a new heat wave in France, where temperatures will rise up to 40 degrees.
A new heat wave is looming in France. From Monday, temperatures will exceed 30°C everywhere south of the Loire. The same heat wave will affect Cherbourg and all weather stations in France on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. From August 9 to 10, the mercury will continue to rise until a "particularly stifling" Thursday. In New Aquitaine, temperatures ranging from 35°C to 39°C are expected at the peak of the day. Météo-France also forecasts a temperature of at least 37°C in Bordeaux and locally, and over 40°C in the Landes, Gironde, Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne. Experts do not rule out a high risk of heat wave throughout the week.
This fourth heat wave to hit France next week is explained by the presence of a powerful anticyclone off the British Isles, very hot air present over the Mediterranean and several small depressions that will form off Portugal and act as "heat pumps," explains Météo-France. "Turning counterclockwise, they cause the rise of scorching air from Morocco to France." This heat wave could last until the weekend before August 15, they warn.
