Hassan II Mosque Launches Energy Efficiency Project to Cut Costs and Emissions

The energy efficiency project is now at the heart of the priorities of the Hassan II Mosque Foundation in Casablanca.
It was from 2014 that the Foundation began to be interested in this issue by carrying out energy audits by both national and international experts.
Thus, a detailed technical and economic study was also carried out for the rationalization of its energy consumption in order to achieve the reduction of its greenhouse gas emissions and its energy bill.
It was following this study that an international call for expressions of interest was launched in December 2016, with the cooperation and support of the Société d’Investissements Energétiques (SIE) and the GIZ.
After studying the various files, the project was awarded to ESCO C-NERGIE, a Canadian specialist in energy consumption reduction.
And for years, it has been striving to implement tangible solutions in terms of energy efficiency and in the field of renewable energies.
According to the Foundation, a subsidiary of C-NERGIE Maroc has been created as part of this project.
