Hassan II Foundation Honors Top Moroccan Students in Belgium for Arabic Language Excellence

The headquarters of the Moroccan Consulate in Brussels served as the setting last Sunday for the Hassan II Foundation, which proceeded to honor the best Moroccan students in the learning of the Arabic language for the past school year.
This initiative of the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Residing Abroad has received the support of the Moroccan Embassy in Belgium. It is an annual event, during which distinctions are awarded to the best students in the study of the Arabic language and Moroccan culture.
This year’s edition, according to Mohamed Ameur, Moroccan Ambassador to Belgium, "paid tribute not only to the students, but also to the parents, teachers and all the associative actors engaged for their efforts in favor of the learning of Arabic and the strengthening of the ties of the Moroccan community with its roots". For the diplomat, Moroccans in Belgium are well motivated to succeed in their integration into their host country, while remaining attached to their Moroccan origins and identity.
According to Youssef Riani, national education coordinator at the Moroccan Embassy in Belgium, "500 students from the Moroccan community in Belgium" participated this year in this program, of whom "sixty" received Excellence Awards.
