Gulf Tourist Arrested After SUV Rampage on Crowded Agadir Beach

A foreign-registered off-road vehicle entered the beach of Agadir, causing panic. Its driver was arrested by the police patrols operating on the city’s beach.
A video published on social networks prompted the Agadir police prefecture to react quickly. The images show a foreign-registered off-road vehicle entering the beach of the city of Agadir on Tuesday and causing panic among the vacationers - families and children - who were enjoying their leisure activities and the summer atmosphere. The vacationers were surprised by the lack of any immediate security intervention by the elements supposed to be in charge of the surveillance and security of the beach.
After the incident, the driver of the vehicle - a man from the Gulf - was arrested. He was then subjected to the procedures of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the circumstances and the ins and outs of this case, as well as to identify the alleged offenses with which he is charged.
