Guendouzi Replaces Injured Matuidi in France Squad for Euro 2020 Qualifiers

The Franco-Moroccan, Mattéo Guendouzi, has been called up by the French coach to replace his teammate, Blaise Matuidi, victim of a "rib cartilage fracture" on Sunday, November 10, 2019 with Juventus. This injury keeps him off the pitch, particularly for the France team’s gathering and matches counting towards Euro 2020 qualifications.
Declared unfit for the Euro 2020 qualifiers, Matuidi will not be part of the team that must face Moldova on Thursday, and Albania on Sunday. Injured during the match against AC Milan (1-0), the world champion had to give way to Mattéo Guendouzi.
The tests carried out on Monday morning in Turin confirmed an injury that made it impossible for Blaise Matuidi to be on the pitch on Thursday and Sunday. For Juventus, their protégé is suffering "from a rib cartilage fracture at the level of the 10th rib".
For now, no details have been given by the management on the duration of the midfielder’s unavailability, except for the Italian sports media, which specify that Matuidi’s presence is uncertain for Juventus’ match against Atalanta on November 23.
