Glory Kickboxing: Donegi Abena Demands Rematch Against Champion Tarik Khbabez
More than a month after his defeat at the Gelredome, the Surinamese Donegi Abena wants to offer a rematch against the Glory heavyweight-light champion, the Moroccan kickboxer Tarik Khbabez.
Donegi Abena wants to face the Moroccan kickboxer Tarik Khbabez again, who became the Glory heavyweight-light champion by beating him last March at the Gelredome. The Surinamese kickboxer believes that Khbabez’s last victory was irregular, while it is a dream that the Moroccan has realized, after ten years of hard training and perseverance.
For now, the Moroccan "Tank" is aiming for only one thing: the heavyweight title. He dreams of beating Rico Verhoeven. "I want to be a double champion... I’ve known Rico for a very long time. I did sparring with him fifteen years ago and I’ve often fought heavyweight in the past," Khbabez said in a long interview with AD.
