The deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Nîmes requested, on Tuesday, November 10, up to 15 years in prison and issued an arrest warrant against a Nîmes man on the run in Morocco. This man would be the head of a major drug trafficking network.
In June 2019, the Nîmes Research Section in coordination with the GIGN had arrested a team on the A9 during a go-fast. More than 100 kilos of cannabis had been seized.
The prosecution has demanded sentences ranging from 4 to 15 years in prison for the fugitive man and detention for most of the eight defendants, reports Objectif gard. The defense has begun to present its pleadings before the criminal court.
