French Tourists Stranded in Morocco to Return Home on Special Ferry Trips

After a long wait, the French blocked in Morocco can finally return to France or Spain. Trips are planned by ferry for these tourists and expatriates according to a well-defined program.
Blocked in Morocco since the closure of national borders to limit the coronavirus pandemic, French nationals and residents in France wishing to return to the country will be able to reunite with their families after more than two months of absence.
In a story published on its official Facebook page this Monday, May 25, the French Embassy in Morocco announced the provision of 7 ferries starting next week, in coordination with the Moroccan authorities. According to the diplomatic representation, five of the seven ferries will be destined for Spain, while only two will be heading to France.
Regarding travelers returning to France, the two ferries will depart from the port of Tanger-Med to the town of Sète in France on June 2 and 9. As for those wishing to go to Spain, five ferries will ensure the departures from the port of Tanger-Med to the city of Malaga, on June 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
The embassy also specifies that these trips are only organized for French citizens, European citizens and permanent residents in France, traveling on a vehicle registered in Europe.
