French Schools in Morocco Remain Open Amid Global Coronavirus Closures

While the French president has announced the closure of nurseries, schools, colleges, high schools and universities to fight the spread of the coronavirus, many people are wondering about the fate of the schools of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) located in Morocco.
In Morocco, the network of schools under the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) is not affected by this decision, the Agency indicates.
"We will inform you immediately of any changes in the situation concerning the Lyautey High School and the establishments of the Casablanca-Mohammedia cluster," said the principal of Lyautey High School, who is also the head of the AEFE Casablanca-Mohammedia management group.
On Thursday, President Emmanuel Macron decided to close educational institutions across France starting Monday, March 16, in order to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
