French Schools in Morocco Implement 14-Day Ban for Those from Coronavirus-Hit Areas

Students and staff, coming from areas where the coronavirus is raging, are prohibited from accessing French-language educational establishments for a period of 14 days after their return.
The security measures are taken by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) in order to avoid the risk of spreading the Coronavirus. To this end, it grants an additional two weeks of rest to students and staff returning from areas affected by this virus, indicates an AEFE press release on its website.
During these 14 days of leave, the agency has advised these people to monitor their temperature twice a day and the appearance of respiratory infection symptoms (cough, difficulty breathing, etc.). It also recommended that they wear a surgical mask and avoid frequenting places where vulnerable people are located (hospitals, maternity wards, accommodation facilities for the elderly, etc.).
In the same press release, the Agency recalled the so-called exposure areas to its staff, namely China, Hong Kong and Macau, Singapore, South Korea as well as the Italian regions of Lombardy and Veneto.
The AEFE has also decided "as a precautionary principle, to postpone school exchanges, within the framework of ADN-AEFE, in Asia and to Asia on the one hand, and in Italy and to Italy on the other".
