French Schools in Morocco Demand Full Tuition Despite Remote Learning

Parents of students at the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) will not be exempt from third quarter fees, according to an email sent by the head of the Casablanca - Mohammedia Management Group.
Big disappointment! Parents have been informed of this news which should not delight them, as they are already facing teleworking, distance learning, household chores, lack of computer equipment at home and the inconveniences of the internet connection.
In addition to the email sent to parents, the establishment has also forwarded the invoice due for the third quarter. According to Claude Thoinet, principal of the Lyautey high school and head of the Casablanca - Mohammedia Management Group, the entire teaching community as well as the administrative and technical services are mobilized to guarantee the continuity of education and the organization it implies.
Even if some services have been suspended since the implementation of the new measures imposed by the government, the principal argues that the invoicing of the 3rd quarter is essential for the viability of the systems implemented by the establishment and its staff. "It is important that the establishment can recover these fees. Without recovery, the entire French education system abroad would be threatened financially and the establishments would no longer be able to finance themselves in the medium term," says the principal of the Lyautey establishment.
In addition, special attention will be paid to the study of the files of families who would encounter financial difficulties due to the Covid-19 crisis, announces the head of the Lyautey high school. To this end, these parents of students are invited to contact the cashier’s office to study the payment terms. As for the parents who have already paid the full school year, they are invited to connect to a portal, EDUKA, to enter their bank details in order to receive the "overpayments" with "delivery scheduled for May".
