French Nationals Top List of Foreigners Prosecuted in Morocco, Report Shows

The French top the ranking of foreign nationalities who have been the subject of legal proceedings in Morocco.
In total, 131 French nationals were prosecuted in Morocco in 2018, placing France at the top of the ranking of foreign nationalities facing justice in Morocco.
They are followed by Senegalese and Guineans with 92 and 77 nationals respectively. Ivorians (58), Spaniards (50), Malians (46), Congolese (45) and Saudis (38) complete the ranking.
In total, 1,046 foreigners from 69 countries were prosecuted under arrest or at liberty before the criminal courts for acts committed in Morocco, according to the presidency of the public prosecutor’s office. The wanted foreigners, on the other hand, are not included in this list. The courts of Tangier and Nador had issued around forty international search warrants against them in 2018.
