French Muslims to Begin Ramadan Under COVID-19 Lockdown Restrictions

Ramadan will begin in France on Friday, April 24, 2020, the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) has just announced, after a videoconference meeting with the various regional federations.
It is in a more than strange atmosphere that Muslims around the world will begin the sacred month of fasting. In France, for example, it will be forbidden to go to mosques for tarawih prayers. The CFCM recommends that Muslim believers stay at home and pray with their families until the end of the confinement period decided by the French authorities.
It should be noted that many European countries are to begin the month of Ramadan tomorrow, particularly those following the date in Saudi Arabia.
