French Justice Minister Praises Morocco’s Anti-Terror Cooperation During Official Visit

Eric Dupond-Moretti is pleased with the effective judicial cooperation between France and Morocco. This is what should be remembered from the statement of the French Minister of Justice, as part of his two-day official visit (December 6-7) to the Kingdom.
"France and Morocco cooperate effectively in the fight against terrorism, including in a framework that also involves Belgium and Spain," the French minister said at a press conference following his meeting with the Attorney General of the King at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Mohamed Abdennabaoui, calling on the two parties to work together.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office, established 3 years ago, "is an essential, indispensable and valuable interlocutor for France," said the French official who, according to the MAP, also addressed with Moroccan officials the worrying issue of unaccompanied minors. On this, Eric Dupond-Moretti wished to see French magistrates and their Moroccan counterparts work "hand in hand, on the basis of the procedural scheme that has been developed, in the interest of the protection of public order and children."
The signing of a cooperation agreement between the French Ministry of Justice and the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the media points out, should cement the strengthening of bilateral exchanges in judicial matters.
