French Hip-Hop Stars Rally to Support Morocco Earthquake Victims

French rappers like Gims, Maes, PNL, are mobilizing through various initiatives to come to the aid of Morocco, which was hit by a violent earthquake on the night of Friday, September 8.
Gims is one of the first rappers to show his solidarity with the earthquake victims. The singer had to cancel his concert in Lausanne to go to Morocco where his family resides. In several videos shared on social networks, we can even see him helping the victims. "A strong thought for the victims of the earthquake in Morocco and all my support to the bereaved families and the Moroccan people. I think of all those who have seen their family homes collapse and who find themselves on the street this morning," Rohff sympathized in a post on X (ex-Twitter).
Gradur, for his part, chose Instagram to convey his "condolences to the families of the deceased and to the entire Moroccan people." "A lot of strength in this difficult time. Thoughts also to all those waiting for reassuring news," he wrote. For his part, Kalash Criminel expressed on X his "immense support to our brothers and sisters in Morocco after the terrible earthquake that hit the country last night and caused many victims." Maes, a rapper of Moroccan origin, announced that he will donate the fee from his next showcase to a humanitarian association that is helping the earthquake victims.
Other rappers like Hatik, L’Algérino, Lacrim, Niska or MHD have also expressed their solidarity with the victims on social networks. "A little message of sharing and mutual aid after the earthquake in Morocco. Children and entire families are suffering from lack of food and care, and more," wrote N.O.S. from the group PNL, who is not very present on social networks, sharing a link to a "serious" crowdfunding campaign to help the victims.
