Mourning in the world of Street-Art. The bodies of the French Pierre Audebert and Julien Blanc, alias Full1 and Jibeone, aged 28 and 34, were found dead near the Sutter Ave-Rutland Road station around 7:15 a.m., a place known to street artists as a hotspot for New York graffiti, reports the ABC7 channel. They were about to spray paint a train car with spray paint.
The two Toulouse artists had recently traveled to Morocco, Italy, or Barcelona. They then joined the famous graffiti painter Ceet-Fouad in New York, where he is in the midst of a promotional operation. "Since I hadn’t heard from them since the night before, I thought they had been arrested by the police after being caught painting," he explained to the daily la Dépêche.
"When I saw on the news that two individuals had been hit by a train in the place where they wanted to go, I immediately made the connection. I considered them as brothers, I am totally devastated by what happened," added the Moroccan graffiti artist.
