French Government Pledges €2.7 Million Aid for Struggling Families in Morocco’s French Schools

2.7 million euros, or about 29.3 million dirhams. This is the amount of the grant that the French state is committed to releasing to support families in difficulty, regardless of nationality, in the French education network in Morocco.
"In order to deal with the crisis related to Covid-19, the French state has committed itself alongside all the families in the French education network in Morocco - regardless of nationality - and with all the schools, regardless of their status," indicates a press release published on the website of the French embassy in Morocco.
The grant, amounting to 2.7 million euros, will be divided between Moroccan and foreign families severely affected by the health crisis and who are having difficulty paying school fees (1.5 million euros, or about 16.3 million dirhams), and the establishments to support a portion of the investments made in order to deliver the courses in compliance with health rules (nearly 1.2 million euros, or about 13 million dirhams).
In addition to this grant, school scholarships for French students will be strengthened.
