French Government Moves to Dissolve Islamic Groups Accused of ’Separatism’

The Minister of the Interior, Gerard Darmanin, announced the dissolution of several associations considered "separatist". This measure will be proposed this week in the Council of Ministers for adoption.
To fight radical Islam, the Minister of the Interior wants to dislodge all associations "enemies of the Republic". The first one in the sights of the occupant of Beauvau is the Collective against Islamophobia in France (CCIF).
For the minister, who was the guest of Europe 1 on Monday, several elements show that the CCIF is an association "enemy of the Republic". According to him, it is at the origin of the "fatwa" launched by parents of students against Samuel Paty. It benefits from state financial support, tax deductions, but denounces state Islamophobia.
In addition to the CCIF, "BarakaCity" is also in the sights of the Minister of the Interior. It is an Islamic NGO whose founder - very active on social networks - is "close to the Salafist movement". According to the minister, political Islam now joins radical Islam to ultimately lead to terrorism. "We must fight political Islam with the same force as terrorism," he added.
