French Foreign Minister Visits Morocco to Bolster Cooperation, Discuss Immigration

The French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, started a two-day visit to Morocco on Sunday. In a press release, the Quai d’Orsay announced that this visit is part of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
On the agenda of this visit, several interviews, including one with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bouria. With the latter, the head of French diplomacy will discuss the "strengthening of bilateral cooperation, the fight against irregular immigration, and regional and international issues," said the spokeswoman for the Quai d’Orsay.
The issue of the training of imams having become an essential issue, Jean-Yves Le Drian will visit the Mohammed VI Institute in Rabat, which is a center created in 2015 by King Mohammed VI. "The minister will continue the work of explanation and appeasement undertaken by the President of the Republic," it is indicated.
The French Minister of Foreign Affairs also plans to visit the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, to sign a support agreement from the French Development Agency to the Moroccan Federation of Museums. He is then expected at the Descartes High School to attend a videoconference exchange, in which the principals of the 44 French schools in Morocco will participate.
