French Drug Trafficking Suspect Loses 20 Kg in Moroccan Prison Before Paris Trial

Arrested in Ceuta, then incarcerated in Morocco in the context of a case of importing tens of tons of cannabis from January 1, 2016 to May 27, 2019, a Franco-Algerian loses twenty kilos in prison. He is one of the six defendants appearing before the Special Assize Court of Paris for an international trafficking.
Considered the right-hand man of the cannabis baron, nicknamed "Mâchoire", Mohammed alias Momo 94 had been arrested in Ceuta in November 2019 then incarcerated in Morocco pending his extradition to France while he had gone to the kingdom to spend a vacation with his girlfriend. A painful ordeal for Momo. "We were twenty in a cell. We slept and ate on the floor. I felt very isolated. I was with big criminals. There was with me a guy who had killed his mother, a child killer and I saw my neighborhood chief get his throat slit in front of my eyes," he testifies. However, this allowed him to overcome his obesity, as he lost twenty kilos in prison. He weighed 130 kg.
After his presentation to the Parisian judge in September 2020, he obtained his release under judicial supervision. His status as a presumed trafficker changes: he works as a driver for disabled children, finds a job as a commercial in the construction industry. "Today, he is happy in a relationship and is about to work as a teacher in a school that trains students in BTS," Le Parisien reports. "It’s an excellent opportunity," he confides. The one who arrived in France thus goes from drug trafficking to teaching. But before leading a peaceful life, he awaits the verdict of the ongoing trial before the Special Assize Court of Paris for an international trafficking which will be rendered on October 25, 2
