French Consul General in Casablanca Steps Down After Nine-Year Tenure

Serge Mucetti is no longer the French Consul General in Casablanca. After nine years spent in Morocco, he has handed over his seat on Wednesday to Christian Testot, a senior foreign affairs advisor.
"On August 31, 2022, I will cease to perform my duties as French Consul General in Casablanca at the end of an atypical stay marked mainly by the health crisis, the reconfiguration of the Consulate General building and the organization of no less than five elections," wrote the French Consul General in Casablanca, Serge Mucetti, in a letter addressed to his compatriots.
Over the nine years spent in Morocco, Serge Mucetti remained at the head of the Consulate of Casablanca for three years. It is therefore after good and loyal service that the diplomat is retiring. He will have spent more than forty years in the civil service.
In the letter addressed to his colleagues, he did not fail to wink at his successor, Christian Testot. "I wish him as much human and professional satisfaction as my wife and I have experienced among you, within a charming, dynamic and stimulating French community, to which I have been happy and proud to belong, as among all my Moroccan friends who have given me an unparalleled welcome," concludes the diplomat in his letter.
