France Unveils New 5-Year Visa for Self-Employed Workers, Including Moroccans

France has just launched a new visa for self-employed workers, including Moroccans, offering them the opportunity to settle and work in the country. This visa, initially valid for one year, can be renewed annually up to a maximum of five years.
To be eligible, candidates must demonstrate the economic viability of their project, whether through the creation of a business or participation in an existing activity in the commercial, agricultural or industrial sectors. Self-employed workers will have to prove that they are able to generate income at least equivalent to the French minimum wage.
This new visa offers several significant advantages. First, it allows legal residence in France for one year, with the possibility of renewing this authorization each year. After five years of residence, visa holders can apply for French nationality and permanent residence. In addition, this visa is open to nationals of all countries in the world, and offers the possibility of free movement in the Schengen area.
Another positive point: once the residence is obtained, the spouse and children can join the visa holder in France. To do this, certain conditions must be met: having a valid one-year medical insurance, presenting a clean criminal record, proving sufficient financial resources and a monthly income above the minimum wage.
