France Seeks Moroccan Medical Professionals to Address Healthcare Shortage

Faced with the shortage of doctors affecting the health sector, France is turning to Morocco. A bill has been initiated in this direction. This action comes in a context marked by the lifting by Paris of restrictions on the granting of Schengen visas.
A few days after France announced the lifting of visa restrictions imposed on Moroccans, a bill aimed at attracting Moroccan health personnel, offering them in return residence permits valid for a period of four years, has been initiated, reports the Arabic daily Assabah. Paris is looking for doctors of all specialties, nurses, midwives, dentists and pharmacists in order to make up for the shortage of human resources.
According to the new text, only the French ministries of the Interior and Health are authorized to issue the necessary residence documents for the recruitment of these profiles, as well as the documents needed by their families. The same text proposes a "symbolic" procedure for people recruited for "urgent" positions.
